The Safe Buss is a 300 watt 1 to 1 isolation transformer that serves to isolate the utility ground from the ground or low side on the device under test. Then, you can ground the low side of the device under test and you will be safe. It may also be used for establishing a floating ground
for your pedals and amps to help solve ground loop issues.
The Safe Buss is also handy for driving a Variac since Variacs are typically autotransformer configurations and must have some kind of power line isolation to be used safely.
